Mission
The mission of the Fisher Whiting Memorial Library is to enrich lives, build community and foster success by bringing people, information and ideas together and by providing materials and services that promote a learning environment for all ages and cultures.
In the provision of materials and services, the Fisher-Whiting Memorial Library Board of Trustees feels a deep responsibility under the Federal Constitution to promote the broad dissemination of ideas upon which a democracy thrives, and it constantly strives to maintain and uphold the democratic principles of our American heritage. To those ends, the Fisher-Whiting Memorial Library Board of Trustees supports the Freedom to Read statement, the Freedom to View statement, and the Library Bill of Rights as adopted and amended by the American Library Association.
